Starsand Island has 15 romanceable NPCs, all of whom have official 3-heart and 5-heart story events — and 6 of them have official in-depth date profiles published by the developer (the five profession mentors plus Solara). Below is every character confirmed in official sources: the 6 profiled romance NPCs, the other 9 romanceable NPCs with heart events, and the supporting cast. The developer has not published a complete character encyclopedia, so this list covers what official guides and patch notes confirm; more minor NPCs exist in game.
The 6 NPCs with Official Date Profiles
The official "Main NPC Deep Dive" and "How to Win Their Heart?" guides cover these six in detail — backstory, daily schedules, favorite gifts, and favorite date spots. English names are primary; official Chinese names in parentheses.

The Chinese version of these profiles also lists birthdays, zodiac signs, and MBTI types (for example Solara: day 26 of autumn, ENFP; Zerine: day 21 of spring, INFJ) — these fields don't appear in the English profiles.

Friendship Basics: What Each Heart Level Unlocks
Per the official "Getting to Know New Friends" guide, every NPC can be befriended, and each heart level unlocks something concrete:
- 1❤ — the NPC starts giving you return gifts.
- 2❤ — you can take photos together.
- 3❤ — you can enter their room; romanceable NPCs' 3❤ story event and dating unlock around here.
- 4❤ — you can post Bulletin Board requests for them.
- 5❤ — you can invite them to move in (see the romance guide).
Each NPC accepts one gift per day, so pick it well — the gift guide has the full loved/liked tables.
